Who We Are

New identity Uganda is a registered nonprofit organization in Uganda modeling holistic approaches in creating all-inclusive and transformed Ugandan communities where children, women and youth are empowered with renewed minds to live to their fullest God-given potentials. The organization is based in Uganda and seeks to serve in two regions of Uganda i.e., the eastern region and western region of Uganda where its offices are located

We believe that everyone on the face of the earth deserves to live a dignified life. No one was born to live on the lesser. Social vices such as poverty, illiteracy and gender discrimination demean every human affected by them. We also believe that we are a part of a worldwide community of people who have chosen to make a difference in their societies – being vessels of hope to the most vulnerable in communities.

Our passion is to continue making a lasting improvement in the lives of the most vulnerable in the communities we serve; providing them with opportunities to experience and extend unconditional love, receive education, live healthy lives, fight poverty, have access to clean and safe water, afford clean energy, able to adapt to climate change effects, acquire different practical life skills; and character development — and for the girl child to fully stand tall—unafraid. We hope to see a vulnerable child, a powerless girl or woman, or a directionless youth; able to live to their full potentials.

To create all-inclusive and transformed Ugandan communities where children, women and youth are empowered with renewed minds to live to their fullest God-given potentials.

Our History

Founded in 2016, New Identity Uganda has been guided by the mission of modeling holistic approaches in tackling poverty, illiteracy, gender inequality, rights violations, HIV, mental health disorders and other global challenges affecting vulnerable children, women, and youth in Ugandan rural communities. Challenged by the devastating effects of poverty, illiteracy, gender inequality, diseases, food insecurity and drought that have been the norm in Communities; sought to find durable solutions in the wake of these and subsequent global challenges facing the district.

Since then, New Identity Uganda has channeled its resources toward education sponsorship for orphaned and vulnerable children, street children and youth; advocacy for girl child and women empowerment with emphasis on girl child education, fighting early marriage, domestic violence and promotion of menstrual hygiene for rural school going girls; climate change adaptation, community health promotion and empowerment programs for vulnerable youth, among other development programs; and 80% of our programs have been focused on Children, women and girl child empowerment and youth empowerment.

With our office located at the heart of Mbarara, New Identity Uganda reaches out to more than 100 youth and about 200 Children and women in the different communities of Mbarara and Jinja through our programs, these are orphaned and vulnerable children, street children unemployed youth and Single mothers through its Skilling program, among other programs.
